The products are vegan and follow a strict blacklist excluding ingredients that are reportedly harmful for the environment and one's body.
Le Domaine has two key patented ingredients: GSM10 and ProGR3.
GSM10 is based on more than 10 years of research by Bordeaux University professor Pierre-Louis Teissedre on the grape varieties and marcs of the Perrin family. It is made from a combination of marc from grenache seeds, syrah seeds and skins associated with a post-biotic micro-organism beneficial to the skin microbiome. It has an anti-oxidant and anti-MMP (matrix metallo-proteinases, such as collagenase, which destroys collagen) effectiveness.
ProGR3 is the result of research on progeria and its main mechanism, progerin toxicity. It features a combination of three natural molecules present in plant extracts, vine sarments, chamomile and green tea. It fights against the signs of anti-aging.
Products in the collection include:
- The Serum: A moisturizing and anti-aging serum. It contains hyaluronic acids with wrinkle-smoothing and moisturizing effects. It features GSM10 and ProGR3.
- The Cream: It is formulated with grape water, nourishing organic olive oil and shea butter, as well as ayurvedic plant extract to combat the appearance of tiredness. It features GSM10 and ProGR3.
- The Cleansing Emulsion: It gently cleanses the face and washes away impurities, detoxifying the skin, and leaving it clear and fresh. It features GSM10.
Le Domaine claims its testing methods are rare in the cosmetics industry, citing the use of instrumental tests and in vivo clinical trials on a large user group conducted under dermatological supervision, with tests against placebo controls.
All of the products are refillable. The oak tree cap is upcycled from the wood left over from the Perrin's wine barrels.
