Siltech is set to unveil additions to its sustain product series, a line that utilizes ingredients derived from renewable plant resources, at in-cos Global 2023 in Barcelona. Several of the company's ingredients to be featured at the event include:
Silwax Sustain 5116 (INCI: Cetyl Dimethicone) – An improved sustainability liquid alkyl dimethicone that provides spreadability and emollience in personal care. It differs from traditional cetyl dimethicones as the alkyl component is derived from biobased plant sources, rather than petroleum feedstocks, assuring formulators of both functionality and improved sustainability.
Silube Sustain 4316 (INCI: Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone) – An improved sustainability alkyl functional silicone polyether emulsifier that provides benefits as a water-in-oil (invert) emulsifier. The polyether and alkyl components of the ingredient are derived from biobased plant sources, rather than petroleum-based feedstocks.
Siltech PTM (INCI: Phenyl Trimethicone) – A phenyl-modified liquid silicone that elicits spreadability, conditioning and improved sensorial in a variety of applications.
