Amika has achieved B Corp certification with a score of 99.2 (companies need at least 80 points combined from all five categories to meet certification requirements). The designation reportedly makes Amika the only hair care brand at Sephora to receive this certification.
Amika achieved B Corp certification by leveraging PCR plastics an participating in TerraCycle's recycling program.
Furthermore, the brand is is certified Climate Neutral, has pledged to have net zero greenhouse emissions by 2030.
In addition, Amika is vegan and cruelty-free, offers 401K matching, paid parental leave (including for miscarriage and abortion), and competitive PTO and health care benefits, among many other supply chain and philanthropic activities.
