The Sami-Sabinsa Group has received several awards in categories like herbal research to beverage taste. The group’s founder, chairman and managing director Muhammed Majeed, Ph.D., was also recently commended.

The company and Majeed were honored by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India, which works toward the mission of impacting policy and legislation to foster balanced economic, industrial and social development in the country. The awards, which were given at the 5th ASSOCHAM National Symposium on Nutraceuticals, were presented by Shri Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Hon. Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Animal Husbandry.

The 2019 Indian Nutraceuticals Trailblazer Award was presented to Majeed, which follows upon the Shield of Honor award he received in 2018, “In recognition of outstanding commitment and leadership in integrating technology with Ayurveda and shaping the Indian Nutraceutical Industry.”
Sami Labs director Anuj Majeed, Ph.D., also accepted the “Best Herbal Research Company” award; his daughter Sunayana, who is also Muhammed Majeed’s granddaughter, accepted the “Best Nutraceutical Company” award; and Sami Labs Limited CEO and director Shri V. G. Nair accepted the “Best Nutraceutical Export Company.”
Sabinsa also recently earned the “Best Tasting Beverage” award at Vitafoods Asia in Singapore for Curcumin C3 Power Liquid, which is a demonstration of the versatility of the company’s GRAS-affirmed Curcumin C3 Complex.
