"Sex Education" follows socially awkward, high school student Otis, who teams up with bad girl Maeve to set up an underground sex therapy clinic to deal with their classmates' problems and insecurities. Season 3 of the show will release on Netflix on September 17, 2021.
NYX Professional Makeup found inspiration in the show’s characters when creating the gender-neutral collection, which consists of a Magic Maker shadow palette, inspired by Eric; Bush Tamer Brow Glue, inspired by Maeve; Always On Top Matte Setting Spritz, inspired by Otis; 1st Base Blurring Primer, inspired by Ola; Juicy Secret Lip Gloss, inspired by Aimee; and a jumbo pencil set, to round out the Moordale High School-inspired collection.
The Sex Education collection will retail for $7 for the shadow palette, $8 for the brow glue, $8.50 for the matte setting spritz, $14 for the blurring primer, $5 for the lip gloss and $25 for the jumbo pencil set.
NYX Professional Makeup will also continue its year-round Proud Allies for All initiative offering fans the chance to win a scholarship to beauty school. The initiative is in partnership with the LA LGBT Center.
To participate in this initiative, fans must be eligible to attend beauty school in Los Angeles for the 2022 school year and are encouraged to fill out an application and submit all additional materials identified on the LA LGBT Center’s website.
Yann Joffredo, global brand president of NYX Professional Makeup, says, “NYX Professional Makeup is thrilled to introduce our second collection in partnership with Netflix. We are always looking to evolve with new launches, and we are proud to release this gender-fluid collection to support the premiere of 'Sex Education' season 3. This collection was designed with everyone in mind and continues to solidify our commitment to our year-round Proud Allies for All initiative.”
