Inclusivity has reshaped color cosmetics in recent years. Danessa Myricks, founder of Danessa Myricks Beauty, and Diarrha N’Diaye-Mbaye, founder and CEO of Ami Colé, have tapped into this movement with brands that deliver quality, fun and beauty. Both will speak as part of Beauty Accelerate 2022 in NYC, September 28-29.
As a self-taught makeup artist, Myricks launched her makeup brand in 2015 to offer a more expansive range of products suitable to all, regardless of skin type or color. The brand's products, which are all cruelty-free and high-performing, are designed for all races, genders and ages.
Some of Danessa Myricks Beauty's products include the Vision Cream Cover, Evolution Powder, Love & Light Beauty Oil and Illuminating Veil, all of which coincide with Myrick's vision of inclusivity.
As Myricks told The Zoe Report: "I want my brand to feel like a place where everyone feels at home and can say, ‘I belong there, I can find myself in there,’ and discover what their possibility can look like.”
Ami Colé, a clean beauty brand created for melanin-rich skin, launched in 2021 with face and lip products, including the Skin-Enhancing Tint, the Lip Treatment Oil and the Light-Catching Highlighter, a translucent balm made for melanin-rich skin tones.
Since then, the New York Times has declared: "Ami Colé Fills a Void In Black Beauty Products," while The Cut praised its setting powder and Today called Ami Colé a "trailblazing beauty brand you should know about."
Join N’Diaye-Mbaye at Beauty Accelerate 2022 for "Beauty by Design: Ami Colé x School House," featuring School House founder Christopher Skinner.
Myricks, meanwhile, will be in conversation with Charlotte Watson, CMO of Olaplex. Learn about the secrets behind their brands' success, from unique ingredient tech to inclusive, performative offerings. These beauty leaders will provide actionable insights for brands of every size.
