MAC Cosmetics announced its promotion of Guillaume Jesel from vice president, global marketing, to senior vice president, global marketing, effective July 1, 2008. Jesel will lead MAC’s global marketing efforts with five strategic areas of focus—product marketing, consumer marketing, new launch management, makeup artistry and artist research.
“Guillaume Jesel is a global strategic thinker who is invaluable to MAC,” says John Demsey, group president, The Estée Lauder Companies. “His deep understanding of the brand and love of the MAC culture emanates in his work.”
Previously, Jesel served as vice president, global makeup marketing for Estée Lauder, where he served as a liaison with Tom Ford for his collaboration with the brand, and as executive director, international marketing, MAC Cosmetics. Before joining The Estée Lauder Companies in 2000, Jesel worked in marketing with Lancôme.
