CEW’s Beauty of Giving
In December, Carlotta Jacobson, president, Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW), welcomed attendees to the annual, and newly named, Beauty of Giving Luncheon at New York’s Waldorf=Astoria. Jacobson acknowledged the work of the many supporters and sponsors of Cancer and Careers who continue to give generously so that women and their employers may work together through cancer treatment.
In 2007, Cosmetic Executive Women Foundation, the philanthropic arm of CEW, honored Pantene Pro-V for its Beautiful Lengths Program, which brings people together to donate their hair to create wigs that are given to women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment. The award was presented to Craig Bahner, general manager and vice president, North America hair care, Procter & Gamble, who said, “We are proud to support women who are living and working with cancer.” There are plans to take the program, which began in July 2006 in the U.S. and Canada, international.
Sponsors of the event included: I Village, NBC Universal, Symrise, Target, WWDBeautyBiz, Suite K, DeVries Public Relations, Digital Plus and JCS Media.
