Lanxess is set to attend the Sepawa Congress in Berlin, showcasing its portfolio of active ingredients and formulations for household cleaning products, detergents and fabric softeners as well as cosmetics and personal care products.
The company's product range includes traditional technologies with highly efficient preservatives to natural and nature-identical products, per the company.
Several of the ingredients to be featured by the company include:
- Neolone BioG Preservative (INCI: Ethyl Lauroyl Arginate HCL) — a Cosmos approved and climate-friendly ingredient that matches the criteria of the company's Scopeblue sustainability brand.
- Kalaguard SB (INCI: Not Provided) — A nature-identical preservative with sodium benzoate that effectively stops bacteria, yeast and mold at pH levels up to 7.0 (neutral). This preservative is non-allergenic and readily biodegradable and is listed for use in environmentally friendly certification programs such as the EPA’s Safer Choice, the EU Ecolabel, Ecocert and Nordic Swan.
- Baypure CX (INCI: Not Provided) — An eco-friendly and readily biodegradable water treatment product.
Ralf-Johann Moritz, Ph.D. of PLA, commented: “Baypure products are . . . eco-friendly and readily biodegradable. Their most important structural base is the nature-identical amino acid aspartic acid.”

In addition to ingredients, Ziang Li, Ph.D., manager of application technology at MPP, will be giving a poster presentation in the personal care/preservatives category exploring the full range of possibilities offered by multifunctional testing.
