Phlur launched in 2015 and was acquired by beauty incubator The Center in January 2021. Lim joined later that year to lead the relaunch of the brand. Phlur’s fine fragrances are mindfully formulated and responsibly sourced, and the brand was even one of the first to fully disclose the ingredient profile of their fragrances.
Missing Person, formulated by Cosmo International Fragrances perfumer Constance Georges-Picot, offers top notes of skin musk, bergamot nectar and jasmine; heart notes of cyclamen, neroli blossom and orange flower; and base notes of sandalwood, blonde wood and white musk.
The fragrances to follow will include a handful of Phlur originals and new creations by Lim in collaboration with perfumers Frank Voelkl (Firmenich) and Jérome Epinette (Robertet). The range is available in 50 ml and 9.5 ml bottles.
Lim said in a press release, “To me, fragrance and fashion have always been connected. Fragrance is an extension of style. It allows us to communicate a mood, elevate a vibe and it can help us express who we are, or who we want to be. Fragrance helps us communicate. It tells stories. And I’m excited to be a storyteller through Phlur.”
Georges-Picot said, "...for me, it's reminiscent of the harmonious feeling you get when you emerge out of a bath, so relaxed and yet invigorated all at the same time with the scent of fresh, clean skin, glistening with supple softness, taking over your senses."
