BeautyBank, a division of The Estée Lauder Companies, appointed Catherine Bomboy as vice president, global communications, which goes into effect Feb. 11, 2008.
“Catherine is the ideal BeautyBank fit,” said Jane Hudis, BeautyBank president. “She is an energetic communications pro with incredible skills and the imagination to develop dynamic multi-platform programs that move the needle.”
Bomboy worked for Marina Maher Communications as the vice president of cosmetics, representing CoverGirl and MAX Factor. She later launched Sean John’s Unforgivable in the U.S. and Europe while serving as executive director at Sean John Fragrances and M•A•C Cosmetics for three years. In addition, Bomboy managed media relations for New York Fashion Week, as well as M•A•C’s participation therein.
Bomboy will now oversee BeautyBank’s brands, including American Beauty, Flirt!, Good Skin, Grassroots, Daisy Fuentes and Coach fragrance, and she will seek out new brand opportunities for the company.
